The Christmas season is over, and we had a great time with Tinsle Sprinklepants in our classroom. We did fun things like playing games, playing a snowball throwing game, and creating Christmas tree ornaments. A highlight was making a cool snow globe that added a special touch to our holiday celebrations. It was a happy and memorable experience for everyone.
Our Christmas fun continued outside the classroom with a fantastic party that brought together our friends and families. We laughed a lot and did many entertaining activities. Crafting with our parents and siblings became special times, making beautiful decorations and creating lasting memories of creativity together.
We also enjoyed delicious treats during the season. Eija made tasty rice porridge, and we sipped on warm glögi while enjoying Christmas cookies. The snowy landscapes and cool weather made everything feel cozy and perfect for spending time together. We also took a trip to Sello to visit Santa´s house! We celebrated the Finnish Independence day by finger paining the Finnish flags.
Our winter playground was full of exciting activities, like sledding with friends and pretending to ice skate on our frozen playground. Each day brought new adventures, and we felt a strong sense of togetherness and joy among everyone.
As the new year began, we got to know other classes in daycare, sharing lockers, toys, and stories. Going on an educational trip to The Gallery added excitement to our learning, and we even got to ride on a tram, making it a memorable experience.
We also celebrated Ponga, an Indian festival, by learning about its traditions through a video and making beautiful kites to decorate our classroom, adding a touch of cultural diversity to our surroundings.
Fully embracing the winter season, we had the chance to explore our local forest and try out skiing. The fresh air, snow-covered trees, and the soft crunch of skis on the snow made it a serene and fun learning experience.
