Applying to Albatross Daycare can be done at any time during the year by filling in the application form. There is no charge for this application. You will receive an email confirmation that your application has been added to the waiting list.
The academic year starts in August. The process for arranging the groups starts during spring time. For families interested in starting during the academic year, it is advised to contact admissions@albatrossdaycare.fi.

After a tour of Albatross and a discussion with the manager, a daycare contract is signed once the family accepts the offered place. Payment of a one-time registration fee (non-refundable) and security deposit (refundable) confirm the contract.
Parents apply for private daycare allowance from Kela. The amount of support from Kela varies depending on the municipality (Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa). All information relating to applying to Kela is provided to parents upon signing the daycare contract. For families who do not receive Kela it is advised to discuss this with Brian Crosby.
The total monthly fee for over and under three year old children is different. However, the families pay the same amount. This is because Kela pay more support for children under the age of three.
The fee for full time daycare is 1095,03€ a month for children who have turned three.
Families also have the possibility to choose three days a week or four hours per day. The fee for this 20 hour daycare option is 844,28€ a month.
For under three year olds, the fee for full-time care is 1343,03€.
The fee for 20 hour daycare option is 1092,28€.
All support that the families receive from Kela is deducted from this amount, so that families only pay the difference.
The daycare is open all year round including July and monthly fees are payable for each month.
For families who have siblings in Albatross daycare at the same time the eldest sibling will receive a discount once a year.
Espoo City also provides a monthly siblings discount.
Albatross offers a 100€ discount for families who have been away from the daycare for four weeks in a row, once per academic year.
