Adventure at Villa Elfvik đđ˛
We kicked off our autumn activities with a lovely trip to Villa Elfvik, where we explored the forest and observed the first signs of autumn.
As we walked along the forest paths, the children had the opportunity to stay active, enjoy the fresh air, and discover the seasonal changes in nature. It was a wonderful way to combine physical activity with curiosity and hands-on learning about the world around us!

Autumn Activities! đ
This month, we welcomed the beautiful colors and changes of autumn through a variety of fun and meaningful activities. We focused on helping the children develop important everyday skills, creativity, fine motor skills and problem-solving abilities.
- We talked about the changing weather and practiced choosing the right clothes to keep ourselves comfortable outdoors.
- The children also got creative by modeling leaves from clay in beautiful autumn colors and different shapes.
- Another fun challenge was assembling paper pumpkins from strips of paper, where the children used their problem-solving skills, patience, and creativity to figure out how all the pieces fit together.
Letâs Get Moving! đââď¸â¸ď¸
We continued to develop our gross motor skills through lots of movement and fun this month! During our biweekly trips to Kameleonten, the children had opportunities to practice their balance, coordination, strength, and agility while exploring different physical challenges. We then brought some of the skills we had been developing back to daycare and practiced them further during our gym sessions.
Another exciting event was starting our weekly ice-skating lessons! The children began getting familiar with the ice, practicing their balance, and building confidence as they learned new skills. Through these activities, we encourage the children to stay active, challenge themselves, and celebrate their progress while having fun together.

đ A Spooktacular Halloween Party! đť
We had a fantastic time celebrating Halloween! Everyone had the chance to show off their amazing costumes.
We enjoyed a variety of fun Halloween-themed activities. We practiced our understanding of symmetry by completing Halloween drawings, rolled and shaped playdough to create our very own monsters, and tested our balance by carefully walking along a spider web.
For our snack, we had a fun challenge: catching grapes from a plate without using our hands! There were lots of laughs and funny moments as everyone gave it a try.
