This past month has been an incredible journey delving into the rich tapestry of various cultures during our international weeks. From immersing ourselves in Finnish traditions to getting whimsically topsy-turvy, we’ve had a blast embracing diversity and learning along the way.
Exploring the diverse cultures within our classroom was an absolute delight! We had a blast learning about the traditions and customs that make each of our classmates unique. One of the highlights was when parents graciously joined us to share insights into their own cultural backgrounds. It was incredible to see the pride and excitement with which they shared their heritage. But the best part? Tasting the delicious array of foods from different cultures! From spicy dishes to sweet treats, each bite was a journey into a new world of flavors and culinary traditions.
Our celebration of Finnish Culture Day was nothing short of spectacular. Engaging in some fun activities, we delved into Finnish customs and traditions, gaining insight into this fascinating culture.
Next came our Topsy-Turvy Day, where we flipped convention on its head by wearing our clothes inside out and rearranging the classroom in unconventional ways. Laughter filled the air as we embraced the joy of being delightfully silly together.
St. Patrick’s Day brought a new flavor of excitement as we delved into Irish culture. With Brian leading the charge, we learned traditional Irish dance steps and enjoyed a captivating theater piece shedding light on the wonders of Ireland.
With Easter on the horizon, we busied ourselves with preparations. From decorating Easter branches to planting Easter grass for the beloved Easter Bunny, our classroom became a hub of creativity and festivity. Handcrafted decorations adorned our walls, ushering in the spirit of spring and renewal.
Our recent trip to Woodpecker Park, just a stone’s throw away from our daycare, was an absolute blast! From zooming down the zipline to spinning around on the merry-go-round, we had an exhilarating and joyful time exploring this new destination.
As we reflect on the past month, we’re filled with gratitude for the vibrant tapestry of experiences shared together.
