What a busy and joyful few weeks we’ve had in the Finches classroom! With Spring in full bloom, our days have been filled with exciting activities, creative projects, and wonderful moments with our friends.
The children have taken great pride in caring for our little garden outside, and we’re all eagerly waiting to see it come to life with color! Indoors, we’ve been working on our cutting and gluing skills, letting our imaginations run wild to create beautiful artwork!
A highlight of our week was the visit from the “Pets on Wheels” show. The children were thrilled to meet and interact with the animals, learning more about how they live and how to care for them. It was a magical and memorable experience for everyone.
In celebration of International Book Day, we took a special trip to the sello library. The children picked out new books and enjoyed exploring exciting stories and adventures. It was a peaceful, and that inspired lots of storytelling and imaginative play throughout the week.
After a long winter, the children have loved observing the return of little animals and the changes in the environment. Their curiosity and excitement have filled our outdoor playtime with wonder and learning.
We also had a fantastic time celebrating Vappu! The Finches put on a joyful catwalk show and danced the day away at our party. The sunshine made it perfect for a delightful outdoor picnic, where everyone especially loved the traditional Vappu donuts. what a treat!
The Finches have also been busy preparing for two special events: Sports Day and Mother’s Day. From organizing games to crafting heartfelt gifts, the children showed great teamwork and enthusiasm. It was truly heartwarming to celebrate Mother’s Day with families joining us for a meaningful and joyful time together.
Our learning continued with the exciting “Dinosaurs Land” project. The children built their very own Jurassic world and are eagerly awaiting the chance to try out the volcano. It’s been a real adventure! We also took advantage of the nice weather to ride our bikes and practice recognizing traffic signs and learning traffic rules. It was fun and educational!
Our journey in the Finches classroom is coming to an end and, to wrap up the wonderful season, we took our final trip to Laaksolahti. It was such a lovely day. We had a fun bus ride, enjoyed a picnic together, and played games in the beautiful outdoors. It was the perfect way to end a busy and joyful time together.
We have also made our final project – Dinoland. We had fun exploring the different dinosaurs and write our own story with everybody’s ideas
To end this season, we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to all the Finches families for all the moments we spent together. Thank you for sharing and working together with us, also for trusting your little ones to us throughout the year.
It has been a joy to watch the Finches grow, learn new things every day, and become stronger, more confident, and amazing children. We will miss them dearly!
