Spring has sprung, Finnish-style! Our Easter celebrations were a riot, filled with laughter as we finished decorating our Easter branches and then embarked on an exhilarating egg hunt. Spending quality time with loved ones over the long weekend was the perfect way to honor the Easter holiday. And let’s not forget about the delectable Finnish treat, mämmi, which introduced some of us to a whole new world of flavors!
As the weather gradually warms up and the ground thaws, we’ve seized the opportunity to get our hands dirty in our planter boxes. Planting flowers and vegetables has been a rewarding experience, watching our efforts blossom with each passing day. The anticipation of seeing new growth every time we step into the daycare fills us with excitement.
Meeting new furry, feathery, and scaly friends from Pet on Wheels was an absolute delight! From cuddles to even having a feathered friend perched atop Brian’s head, it was a memorable encounter for us all.
Venturing into the local forest with our Hawk friends was an adventure filled with scientific exploration and exhilarating group activities. Nature’s beauty combined with a treasure hunt made for a magical experience that left us beaming.
Our fascination with shadows led us to explore their mysteries further. From creating shadow boxes to going on shadow walks around the daycare, we’ve been mesmerized by the play of light and dark. It’s incredible to see how shadows change in size and intensity, and we’ve had a blast discovering just how many Finches it takes to stretch across a building’s shadow!
Preparations are underway to celebrate the phenomenal moms in our lives for Mother’s Day. We’re eagerly crafting heartfelt gifts to show our love and appreciation for everything they do.
As we say bye to our fun Easter party and welcome the sunny days of spring, we remember all the giggles, yummy food, and hugs with family and friends. Watching flowers grow in our garden boxes, playing with cute animals, and finding shapes in shadows makes us so happy. We can’t wait to make special gifts for our awesome moms on Mother’s Day and feel their love all around us. Spring is super cool, and we’re excited for all the fun adventures waiting for us!
