Our First Months at Daycare!
What a wonderful first few months it has been upstairs! Our little group of Parrots and Penguins has been very busy exploring, learning, and having fun together.
When the children first arrived, everything was new—new rooms, new toys, and new friends! Some children felt a little shy at the start, but now we see so many happy faces every morning. It’s lovely to see the children learning each other’s names and starting to play together. Friendships are growing every day!
One of our favorite activities this month has been painting. The children have enjoyed using bright colors to make beautiful pictures. Some painted with brushes, while others used their fingers—what a fun and messy time we had! We even hung some of the paintings on the wall. The children are so proud to see their art displayed.
We also started using scissors for the first time. This is a big skill for little hands, and everyone is doing such a great job learning how to hold and cut safely. We practiced cutting paper strips, we will be saving the scrap for future art projects!
Another fun day was when we made fresh lemon juice together! The children helped squeeze the lemons. They loved tasting the juice they made. It was a great way to talk about healthy food and trying new things. Plus, it was delicious!
Of course, the best part of daycare is spending time with friends. We play together, sing songs, read stories, and help each other. Some children are learning to take turns and share, and we are so proud of how kind and caring they are becoming.
It has been a joyful first month full of smiles, learning, and laughter. We are so excited to see what the next months will bring as our little group continues to grow and explore the world around them.
