we began our autumn with fathers and parents’ day coffee, where the finches made heartfelt cards to show their love for their dads. It was a sweet way to celebrate this special person in their lives.
One of the biggest highlights was our first theater trip to Raatikko . For many of the children, it was their first time seeing a live performance, and they were fascinated by the magic of the stage.
The Halloween party was a day full of spooky fun activities! The kids dressed up in creative costumes, played games, and decorated pumpkins. We made our pumpkin soup for our lunch and all the children were happy to help . It was all laughter and excitement as they embraced the festive spirit.
During the Diwali party, the Finches learned about the festival of lights and enjoyed bright colors, decorations, and fun activities. It was a wonderful way to share the beauty of different cultures.
For Finland’s Independence day, we baked together delicious joulutorttu and hosted a small linnan juhlat .The children learned about Finnish traditions while enjoying the treats they helped make.
Finally, we ended the year with a cheerful Christmas party, full of songs, decorations and delicious snacks. The Finches celebrated the season with their friends, wrapping up the year with joy and togetherness. Its been an amazing year for our little Finches, full of fun memories and meaningful moments. We can’t wait for all the adventures next year will bring!
