The finches are back after a refreshing holiday break, ready for new adventures! We have had a fantastic start to the year, making the most of the winter season with sledging, building snowmen and going on our first group ice-skating trip. It has been amazing to see everyone improving their skating skills and having so much fun on the ice!
To celebrate the beauty of winter, we started a winter window painting project, exploring the unique colors of the season. We also learned about winter animals, tracked their footprints in the snow and we even conducted a fun science experiment on how to freeze and melt water in the classroom.
We also celebrated Friendship day ! The finches had a wonderful time baking delicious chocolate muffins together, playing fun games, dance together and exchanging thoughtful cards with their friends. It was a beautiful reminder of the importance of kindness, sharing and friendship.
The Finches also became very interested in shadows and how to make them! They had fun playing with their own shadows, watching how they moved and changed. We created shadow stories using toys and light, turning simple shapes into imaginative tales.
It`s been a wonderful and busy month, and we can`t wait for more exciting winter adventures ahead .
