Albatross Daycare has been really busy this past week preparing for the Christmas period. Usually coming close to Christmas we like to invite our parents into the daycare to have a party – whereby the parents and children would make some activities together, we would eat some porridge, sing some songs and have a special visitor come to greet the children. Unfortunately, this is not possible this year. As a result, we tried to think of a way in which we could still try to replicate the holiday feeling even if we cannot share it together.
So this year we have decided to record various festive activities that will be published on our YouTube channel for parents and children to try at home in the build up to Christmas. This idea was based on our successful videos posted during the spring time, when the majority of children were at home due to Covid-19 lockdown. You can find the programme for the activities – they include arts and crafts, STEM, theatre and baking. Plus we have a special activity to welcome in the New Year.
We really hope you enjoy the activities that our teachers have prepared and that next year we are able to spend the time together, like normal!
